The region
Three municipalities, one shared path
The three municipalities in the Alpine foothills pool their digitalisation efforts in the federal Model Projects Smart Cities programme. What is built there is open source and can be adopted by other municipalities.

| CiviPort | Urban data platform: buildings and water supply, smart water for irrigating the sports field, building technology in school and nursery, own LoRaWAN network, 3D view with zoning plans |
| Waterworks energy management | PV system, battery storage and pumps controlled according to electricity prices |
| Resilience | Emergency operation during power cuts with storage, local server, LoRaWAN and backup generator |

Proven in daily use and available to other municipalities.
The solutions have been tested in everyday use in the three municipalities. Because they are open source, any municipality can adopt them.
